Science
- Classification: Students will learn how to use a dichotomous key to classify living things.
- Vertebrate Chart: Students will create a chart in Word to describe the various characteristics that define specific vertebrates (i.e. mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish).
- Field trip to the Salmonier Nature Park (Late September)
Math
Represent ‘populations’ (cultures) using numbers
•Place value to billions & billionths
•Estimating decimals and large whole numbers
•Comparing large numbers (populations, decimal notation etc.)
•How we solve both mathematical problems and problems we encounter everyday in our lives
